In support of the launch of the new Altivar 320 variable speed drive, Schneider Electric hosted a reception during the Modex 2016 supply chain trade show in Atlanta, GA. In order to generate interest and drive attendance at the reception, ResponsePoint created and distributed a series of three promotional emails and executed a telemarketing program.
The emails were sent to a target list of about 450 customers who might be attending the show. In the month prior to the show an email announcement/invitation to the reception was sent each week. Once the first invitation was sent, ResponsePoint’s calling team began to reach out to the prospect list. The goals of the calls were :
- Did you receive the email invitation?
- Are you attending Modex 2016?
- Are you registered for the reception? (if not, can we register you?)
- If unable to attend, can we send an email with information on the Altivar 320 variable speed drives?
While actual turnout for the reception was below expectations, the event was considered successful. Additionally, a better profiled list was developed for subsequent Altivar product roll outs.
